Jimmy Dewayne Raines, 76, of Helena, Arkansas passed away Monday, August 19, 2024. Jimmy was born on October 10, 1947 in Pontotoc, Mississippi to the late Billy Raines and Lola Mae.
He was well known in the biker community and loved to ride in his free time. When Jimmy was at home he watched Nascar more often than not and enjoyed most especially watching Dale Earnhardt Junior. He spent many years as a truck driver for Empire Express.
Jimmy Raines is preceded in death by his parents, Billy Raines and Lola Mae and wife, Barbra Ann Raines.
He is survived by his two sons, James Raines and Jeff Raines of West Helena, Arkansas; two daughters, Stacy Barfield (Bill) of Simmesport, Louisiana and Mendy Seeman (Gus) of West Helena, Arkansas; eleven grandchildren, Rebecca Lynn Clark (Brett) of Melbourne, Arkansas, Stanley Barfield (Heather) of Simmesport, Louisiana, Tiffany Barfield (Nicole) of Napoleonville, Louisiana, Jeffery Raines Jr. of Marianna, Arkansas, Brittany Murphree-Smith (James), Dellous Raines (Shana) of Lexa, Arkansas, Elizabeth Murphree of West Helena, Arkansas, Kristen Lansdale (Brandon) of Marianna, Arkansas, Zoe Howard of West Helena, Arkansas, Ashlee Barfield of Simmesport, Louisiana, Mathew Barfield of Simmesport, Louisiana; thirteen great grandchildren, Evan Clark, Peyton Clark, Miley Clark, Braleigh Clark of Melbourne, Arkansas, Alicia Barfield, Natasha Barfield of Simmesport, Louisiana, Layla Grace Robinson of West Helena, Arkansas, Layla Mae Loveless of West Helena, Arkansas, Lorelai Raines of Lexa, Arkansas, Hallum Lansdale of Marianna, Arkansas, Lacie Murphree of West Helena, Arkansas, Briyghten Murphree of Lexa, Arkansas, Shaydynne Smith of Lexa, Arkansas; one brother, Bobby Joe Raines and one sister, Lisa Raines.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Raines, James Raines, Gus Seeman, Bill Barfield, James Smith and Stanley Barfield, with one honorary pallbearer being, Mathew Barfield.
Jimmy's visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 23, 2024 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home Chapel in West Helena, Arkansas. His graveside service will immediately follow his visitation at 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens in West Helena, Arkansas. Brother Adam Roland will officiate.
