Mary Jacquelin ''Jackie'' Richey, age 88, passed away on August 11, 2024. She was born on February 1, 1936 in Lonoke, Arkansas, the second oldest of eight children born to Marietta Hill and James Marion Hill Sr.
In her life, she had a lot of passions that brought her joy. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She attended Lonoke High School where she graduated in 1954. Later, she spent 25 years as the Assistant Director at Kindercare Learning Centers, where she made a big impact on the kids she cared for before retiring after 25 long years. She also loved flowers, especially daisies, whose sunny and vibrant qualities reflected the warmth and joy she brought into the lives of everyone she knew.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 58 years, Jerry Richey; brother, James "Pistol" Hill and son-in-law, Mark Hardin.
Jackie is survived by her son, Richard Richey (Cindy); daughters, Debbie Richey and Denise Hardin; brothers and sisters, Joyce McCullah, John Hill (Bobbie), JoJo Hill, Judy Hill, Jane Murphy (Donnie) and Jerry Hill; grandchildren, Chris Richey (Jessica), Jeffrey Pipkin, Ryan Richey (Kim), Shelbi Hardin and Blake Hardin (Karli) and 8 great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Roller-Owens Funeral Home in North Little Rock, Arkansas on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. with a graveside service to follow at Wattensaw Cemetery in Lonoke, Arkansas.
