Peggy Lee Barnes, 73, of Batesville passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024.
She was born August 5, 1950 in Newport, Arkansas to Mary Carmical.
Peggy was a super woman who loved big and was a great cook. She loved cooking and baking and always kept a cake available. She loved animals and her family very much, especially her children and grandchildren. Peggy loved life and was a great friend. She was an Elvis fan and enjoyed dancing, working in the yard, and could craft anything. She was a hairdresser for over 20 years and was always on the go.
Survivors include one son, Michael Barnes of Batesville; one daughter, Nikki Whitener (Artie) of Batesville and four grandchildren, Layla Barnes, Price Whitener, Jolee Whitener and Delta Whitener.
She is preceded in death by her mother; her husband, Michael Barnes and one son, Lynn Barnes.
Pallbearers are Artie Whitener, Michael Barnes, Jeremy McSpadden, Jason Skelton and Maurice Johnson.
Services will be held Thursday, August 8, 2024 at 10:00am at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Batesville with Tracy Grissom officiating. Burial will follow at Campground Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9:00am until 10:00am just before the service.
