Steve was a fine Christian man who loved the Lord, the truth, his family, his church, his country, and life itself. I observed his spiritual and leadership growth over many years. I also benefitted personally from his quick willingness to help in anyway he could. Great loss. He is in the Lord's care forever and I offer my condolences to his family.

We are so sorry for your loss. Steve was just a simple man that touched every person he met. He loved his live, his family and friends. He listened and then he spoke. His sly grin then his laugh. His life changed others his personality changed people.
Go rest high upon that mountain buddy.
Steve was definitely one of the good guys and a friend to so many. My condolences to Cay and all his family. Prayers for peace and comfort in the days ahead.
Steve is such a good soul and refuse to say ‘was’ because I know he still is, just on another plane. Some people touch so many lives and he was one of them. We’re all lucky to have known this man who was there to help as asked. Am so sorry, especially to Cay, Zach, and Blade, but also to all who knew him. Feels way to soon for us, but figure God needed him for a reason.
Prayers lifted for the family for their loss.. Steve will surely be missed .
In my mind Steve is still the 9th grade kid whom I taught, along with Larry Davenport in 1970-71, my first year of teaching. After 40 years in the classroom, those kids are the most vivid in my memory. We are so sorry to hear the news. Joe and linda Smith
