I have known Steve since the 1st grade. The class, mostly Steve, was planning our 50-year class reunion this year. Steve was a precious friend. My heart goes out to his family because Steve will be highly missed. Steve was loved by so many people...He was just a good God-fearing man.

Cay, and family, I want to express my HEART FELT SORRY I FEEL FOR YOU. I am not near but I still feel your pain. And will always remember the good thoughts I have of Steve. He was always a person that you could depend on and would help anyone that needed it. I depended on his opinion on a lot of things if you asked. He did his BEST to give a ANSWER DEPEND ABLE AND HONEST. That is a few and far between this day and time.
You are in my PRAYERS ALWAYS. LOVE TO ALL

I so hated to hear of this. Such a good guy and not a selfish bone therein. Always ready to help whomever needed it. His absence is felt not just locally but abroad. Looking forward to seeing that happy grin when I cross the bridge myself. Love and hugs to Cay, Zach, Blade, in-laws, etc. Condolences esp to those who missed knowing him.

Steve was a fine Christian man who loved the Lord, the truth, his family, his church, his country, and life itself. I observed his spiritual and leadership growth over many years. I also benefitted personally from his quick willingness to help in anyway he could. Great loss. He is in the Lord's care forever and I offer my condolences to his family.

Steve is such a good soul and refuse to say ‘was’ because I know he still is, just on another plane. Some people touch so many lives and he was one of them. We’re all lucky to have known this man who was there to help as asked. Am so sorry, especially to Cay, Zach, and Blade, but also to all who knew him. Feels way to soon for us, but figure God needed him for a reason.
