Sheryl Whistle Smithey, 65, of West Memphis, Arkansas passed away peacefully on July 29, 2024. Born on November 20, 1958 in Osceola, Arkansas, Sheryl was the beloved daughter of Molly Whistle Paudert and the late Clyde Whistle.

Sheryl was a caring mother, sister and friend, who loved laughing and spending time with those dear to her. She enjoyed tending her garden, working with horses and watching eclectic movies, theatrical productions and television shows. She was a lover of animals, having raised horses, dogs, cats, goats and ducks. She cherished making wonderful memories with her daughter, Lori. They enjoyed traveling and trying new restaurants together.

Sheryl was a kind and generous free spirit, who loved everyone. She was known for her joyful laugh and warm, beautiful smile. She will be remembered with great fondness and affection.

Sheryl is survived by her daughter, Lori (Rom) Smithey; her mother, Molly Paudert; her sisters, Sarah (James) Chrestman and Sandra Whistle; her brother, Wade (Karen) Whistle; her aunts, Katie Ingram, Lois Watson and Margaret Morris and her numerous nieces, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Whistle.
