of Sherwood, AR
July 19, 1946 - July 26, 2024
Kenneth Hays Medlock was born to Herman Hays and Wilma Pauline Medlock on July 19, 1946 in Morrilton, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, along with grandparents, Orville and Luella Jones, William Tarpley and Martha Quinn Medlock.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Faye; son, Bradley Hays; grandchildren, Hunter Hays and Hayden Elizabeth; Cousins, Kirk Price like a brother, (Jeanne) and their son, Greg, Charles Dale Medlock and Paula Boyle; alongside many friends and family.
Kenneth was an avid bow hunter most of his life and has a deer recorded in the Pope & Young book. Things he enjoyed most was being outdoors and hunting with his family and friends, but most of all, Christ came first. He enjoyed 54 years of marriage, raising a son and helping with grandchildren. He enjoyed the fellowship at church with many friends. He was very well respected by all and strived to do right by the Lord in all facets of life.
Kenneth was a quiet person but could always make you laugh when you least expected it. Always had a smile and was willing to help others anyway he could. He was a great husband, dad, grandfather and friend. He always knew the right things to say when nobody else did, even if that meant nothing at all. He always went above and beyond to make everyone around him feel loved.

Kenneth was a great mentor , and just a great man. He taught me alot about a bow and arrow over a 30+ year span. We were always talking wind directions and what we had seen in places we had hunted. We would always debrief after ever hunt to learn more about the area we might have been hunting. He was a great father figure in my life I always told him I loved him when it was time to go our separate ways! I already miss him dearly!! RIP I love you Kenneth thank Fira bunch of great memories!!9
So sorry for your loss. Prayers for all of the family
I had the good fortune of knowing Ken through work. He always made the time for conversation and was very intentional about encouraging others in his laid back way. I am certain he will be sorely missed by his family and friends, but am happy for Ken for him to enter his rest in the Lord.
Jan,
Barb and I send you our sincere condolences on the loss of Ken. You, Brad, Hunter, and Hayden Elizabeth will all be in our thoughts and prayers, and we hope all the wonderful times & happy family memories of Ken will bring you peace and comfort in this difficult time. I am confident that our Lord is already with Ken acquainting him with the wonders of eternal life, and they will be there to welcome family and friends when our time comes to move from here and reunite in our eternal heavenly homes. Much love to you all, James & Barb Jackson
Oh, Jan and family, I am so very sorry for your loss.
My heart goes out to you.
We are very sorry for your loss. John enjoyed hunting with Ken and enjoyed his fellowship. We are lifting you and your family up in prayer.
The Sikes Family deeply regrets the passing of Ken and sends much sympathy, love and encouragement to the Medlock family and friends. He was just a super person and fond memories will be remembered by us all.
Mrs. Jan and family. My heart is saddened by your loss. Mr. Medlock always had a smile on his face and I talked to him almost every Sunday at church. He was a fine Christian and I will miss seeing him sit across from me at WindSong. May Gods love blanket you during this difficult time.
