January 14, 1935 - July 14, 2024
Mary Jeanne Stewart (Dunn), a beacon of elegance and grace, passed away on July 14, 2024 at the age of 89 in Flippin, Arkansas. Born on January 14, 1935 in Canon City, Colorado, Mary Jeanne's journey through life was marked by her devotion to her family.
Raised in Colorado, she had a distaste for getting her hands dirty, leading her to prefer staying indoors with her grandmother. In La Grande, Oregon, Mary Jeanne graduated from the local high school before embarking on a noteworthy career. She spent many years at the corporate office of Disney in Anaheim, California, where her professionalism and warmth left a lasting impression on her family and loved ones. Her influence led her entire family to develop a fondness for Disney from a young age.
Mary Jeanne's life was rich with personal interests and community involvement, especially after moving to Arkansas 28 years ago. She was an active member of several exercise groups, including Tops and Silver Sneakers, where she was recognized for her achievements in personal health. Her commitment to helping others was evident in her participation with Soup Sisters, an initiative dedicated to providing meals to those in need. She also enjoyed the American Legion pancakes because they reminded her of her fathers recipe.
A generous soul, Mary Jeanne founded a local chapter The Red Hat Ladies and one Pink Lady, her daughter and best friend. Her artistic talents shone brightly in her porcelain doll making, through which she not only crafted beautiful pieces but also taught others the art, spreading her passion and skills.
Mary Jeanne's love for life extended to her personal life, where she enjoyed shopping for her "bling" and spending quality time at "her shop" with her beloved husband of 55 years. Her family was her greatest source of pride and happiness, including her daughter, son, 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by one daughter, whose memory she cherished deeply.
Mary Jeanne Stewart's legacy of love & family will continue to inspire all who knew her. She epitomized the essence of a classy, graceful lady. Her elegant presence and kind spirit will be profoundly missed.
Prayer: May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face. The rains falls soft upon your fields and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

I got to know Jeanne when I volunteered at the Little Bit Used Thrift Store. Jeanne was one of our most cherished customers. She also volunteered for a while. Everyone loved her, always sweet, kind and dressed to the nines. She had a strong faith in Jesus and now stands face to face with Him. I’ll see you again, dear friend.
