Kimberly Ann Wofford

September 7, 1964 - June 21, 2024

Kimberly Ann Hartsell Wofford was born on September 7th, 1964. On June 21st 2024, at 12:58 a.m., the Lord saw fit to bring her home. Kim was born to the late James Edward (Jimmy) and Judith Ann Wallace Hartsell in Helena, Arkansas.

Kim attended school at Marvel Academy where she graduated in 1982. After graduation she, then, met the love of her life and married John Allen Wofford from Clarendon in 1985. They soon had their first daughter, Shara Ann Wofford on February 2, 1986. Their marriage was short lived, though, for on January 12, 1991 John Allen passed away from a tragic accident. Kim would become a widow and a single mother all too soon. She didn't let that stop her though. She did the best she could to provide for her daughter.

Kim also attended Phillips Community College and graduated from there with her CNA license and moved on to have her second child, Christy Lynn on June 19,1994. Kim was always working hard and in spare time doing something with her kids. She loved taking them to horse shows or just riding around having fun listening to music. In 1999 she would reconnect with Christy's daddy, Clarence Cary and they remained together until October, 2016 when Clarence was called home. He passed away at their home in Hunter, Arkansas.

Kim has four grandkids. A total of three grandsons and one granddaughter that she loved very much. She also had a little poodle named Peaches and he remained with her for 13 years before he passed away just a week before she did. Kim loved to be outside, especially at night to look up at the stars and wonder is that an airplane, a drone or what. During the last few years, her health has been declining and on June 11th was placed on hospice, she was able to come home to her daughter's house on the 17th of June and spend what little time she had left surrounded by family that loved her so much. The pain is gone now, and she can breathe just fine as she's up in heaven walking with Jesus and everyone that went home before her.

Kim was proceeded in death by her grandparents; James and Emma Hartsell, Sterling and Merle Wallace, her parents, Jimmy and Judith Hartsell, her husband, John Allen and her soulmate Clearance Cary.

She is survived by Shara Ann Wofford Mefford and husband Donald Mefford of Higden along with grandkids; Mason, Allen, Lee and Nina Shiann Mefford of Higden, and Christy Lynn Cary and Shane Ervin of Hunter, along with grandkids; Cache, Nathaniel Ervin and Reese Allen Ervin of Hunter. A ceremony will be held privately by family. She was loved by many, hated by some but respected by all and if you got to know her or knew of her, let me tell you, you should feel honored. She is the best mom or grandma anybody could ask for! Rest In Peace momma until we meet again. We love you.
