Mike Pippin, age 62, of Harrison, Arkansas passed away on July 6, 2024, at his home in Harrison. He was born November 11, 1961, in Richmond, California, the son of Charles and Frankie Pippin (who preceded his death).
The family moved to Arkansas in 1969 where he graduated from Russellville High School and later graduated from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, Arkansas with a bachelor's degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice after serving in the US Navy. Mike and Rachel were married in Sheridan, Arkansas on September 9, 1991, and soon afterward he started a career with the Arkansas Department of Correction.
Mike was a Correctional Officer at the maximum-security unit at Tucker, Arkansas, and was later promoted to Investigator and Unit Manager. Mike transferred to Little Rock, Arkansas where he was a Parole Officer for three years, later transferring to Harrison, Arkansas to finish his 21-year career in Law Enforcement. Mike was promoted to Assistant Area Manager, supervising several counties and offices before finishing his career. Mike was an avid fisherman and a member of Northside Church of Christ in Harrison, Arkansas.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Rachel of almost 32 years, and brother, David Pippin.
Mike leaves behind his wife, of the home, Debbie Pippin; daughters, Kimberly Pierce, Kristy Anderson (Brent), and Jessica Fales (Jonathan) and eight grandchildren; sister-in-law, Sandi Pippin and niece and nephew.
There was a Celebration of Life at the Northside Church of Christ Community Building on July 13, 2024.
Mike will be interred at Woodland Cemetery, Clarksville, Arkansas at a later date.

I enjoyed working with Mike and he was a joy to see and talk to at the Harrison Police Department retire shoot. He will be greatly missed.

Mike was always great to work with while he was with Probation and Parole. He usually had a smile on his face and somehow ended up putting one on yours. On behalf of the Boone County Sheriff’s office we would like to send our condolences to the family.
