July 10, 1984 - June 26, 2024
Douglas Wayne Acklin passed away at 39 years old in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on June 26, 2024. Douglas was born July 10, 1984, to Albert Acklin, Jr. and Cindy. Doug, as a child, was the sweetest little boy. He was so very smart. His handwriting was so good, he could have been a writer.
Douglas was preceded in death by his grandparents, Murle Acklin Thompson, Albert Acklin, and Ray Thompson; his father, Albert Acklin, Jr.; father-in-law, Johnny Glenn; his aunt, Patricia Acklin; uncle, Lindell Slayton; cousin, Braydon Moses, and his 2 sons, Dalton and Douglas, Jr.
Left to cherish his memory are his mom, Cindy; sister, Tishaela; wife, Dortheia, his children, Nicholas, Mia, Grace, Bella, and Aiden, stepchildren, Koen, Jr, and Acacia; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Doug always ended a message with God's got this. He was so loved and will be missed by all that loved him so much.
A Memorial/Celebration of Life will be held at Lee's chapel in Sandtown, Arkansas at 2:00pm, on Saturday, July 13, 2024.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all the loved ones of Doug. May each of you find that God is loving and merciful. He is your refuge and strength. He is a very present help in trouble. He is a loving Daddy God and will comfort and console you by his Holy Spirit. Jesus loves you and will never leave or forsake you. His Holy Word speaks volumes of his love for each one on this earth. A child of God has the kingdom of heaven in his or her heart. May Jesus strengthen you, bless you, encourage you and be the lover of your soul.

Douuugg! I still can't believe this Is true. I know in my heart that you are hugging uncle Jr's neck and scooping grandma Murle into a bear hug. I'm having such a hard time staying positive about you leaving us. My heart just breaks for your kids.
I can't bring myself to say good bye. So instead I'll say, until I see you again.
Doug was my great nephew, my Sister, Doug's grandmother, Murle Reynolds Acklin, (Ray), His dad, Albert Mack Acklin, Jr loved their children and grand-children. His grandmother always read the Holy Bible and prayed for her family and I heard her say many times , she prayed they would come to know the Lord. We find in John 3:16, For God so love the world that he gave his only begotten Son, Jesus Chirst, that who so ever believed in Him, and asked forgiveness of their sins would be saved. God Bless the family and friends.
