of Marion, AR
June 12, 1941 - July 6, 2024
Ethel Ruth Brossett of Marion, Arkansas passed away on July 6, 2024. She was 83 years old. Ethel's greatest joy in life was family and traveling with Wilford to his music shows. She would sell his CDs and even went back stage with him at the Grand Ole Opry where she met Vince Gill and many others. She was Wilford's biggest fan. Often when Wilford received awards, she was more excited than he was. You would always find them together and rarely saw them apart. Little did many know, she spent most her time managing the office for E&R. She assisted in creation of a baseball league, Razorback React, where she watched her kids play and then her grandkids. Her goal was to make sure every kid had an opportunity to play the sport whether they had the sign up fees or not. All the kids knew her as Mrs. Ethel because she ran the concession stand, and often gave out free food. She had a big heart for those kids. She loved Jesus and all of her children.
Ethel is preceded in death by her parents, Vernon Jones and Sarah (Perot) Fatheree, 3 brothers Richard Jones, Donald Jones, James Jones, a sister Diane Swayze, a son Edward Brossett SR., Grand Daughter Ashley Elizabeth Bailey, and Great Grandson Chance Hunter Lung. She is survived by her husband Wilford Brossett, son Jimmy (Patricia) Brossett, 3 daughters Brenda (Tommy) Kyle, Glenda (Egon) Schuett, Shelia (Tim) Alward, 6 brothers Ricky (Diann) Jones, Bobby Jones, Johnny Jones, Billy Jones, Eugene Jones, Danny Jones, a sister Betty Scott, 9 grandchildren, Edward Brossett JR., Gary Baker, Tabitha Smith, Bandon Brossett, Allen Bailey, Mandi Baker, Crystal Lynn, Fallon Caster, Nick Arendale, and 28 great grandchildren.
