November 18, 1938 - June 25, 2024
Mildred Lucille ''Millie'' Webster, age 85, of Leslie, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, June 25th, 2024 at her home. She was born in Delphi, Indiana on November 18th, 1938 to Wiley Gerald Wallace and Edith Williams Wallace.
Millie spent most of her life as a housewife, raising her five children. Later, after they became teenagers, she worked as a folder for Flinkrock Shirt Factory. She also started her own company, M&W Merchandise, which she ran until her retirement with her husband. She was a Christian and instilled those values to her children and grandchildren. She attended the First Christian Church in Marshall, The Church of Christ in Marshall and most recently, The New Life Family Church in Leslie. Millie enjoyed traveling, camping, floating the Buffalo National River and many other adventures with her husband of 66 years, Bill Webster. Millie was a stranger to no man or woman. She made friends wherever she went. Her laugh, as one person put it, was infectious. Others have said she was always smiling and extremely happy and upbeat.
Survivors include her children, Becky (Al) Thomas of Leslie, Gina (Randy) Younger of Leslie and Mike (Mary) Webster of Deer; sister, Delores Bybee of Niles, Michigan; brother, Gary (Lila) Wallace of Nile, Michigan; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Millie is preceded in death by her parents, Wiley and Edith Wallace; her husband, Bill Webster and children, Marie Webster and Rick Webster.
A ceremony to honor Millie's life will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 13th, 2024 at her home, 4163 Hwy 66, Leslie, Arkansas 72645. In lieu of flowers and food, please donate to the Alzheimer's Association or a Dementia Organization of your choosing.
My sister, Fran Avers, almost said it all but I do have a little more. Millie was one of my all time favorite people! She had such a lovely smile and a great love for others. Millie had a wonderful caring attitude toward others; when someone spoke with her, she really listened. I’ll never forget Millie. Whenever I think of her my heart smiles. God bless the family now and in their times ahead.
Millie Wallace and Greg Dellinger were named "Happiest" in the high school yearbook (1957 Pines). That is how I have always rememered Millie with her big smile and hardy laugh. No wonder she got that title. She was beautiful inside and out as the saying goes. My grandfather and her grandmother married, thus my father and her mother became step brother and sister. Millie inherited her mother's great smile and laugh. I am proud to have known her and to have been a cousin, though not by blood, but a sister in the Lord. Condolences to the family.
