Mae Kirksey, 89, of Paris, Arkansas passed away on Friday, June 14, 2024 in Clarksville, Arkansas. She was born on September 10, 1934 in Scranton to her parents, John Daniel and Nora (Milligan) Cameron.
Mae worked for many years at Wal-Mart in Paris where she made many friends and special co-workers. She was a member of Starting Point Church and read her bible daily. She loved working word searches but her true passion in life was her children and grandchildren. She loved spending time with them and loved to cook for large family gatherings.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, B.W. Alexander and James Kirksey; her daughter, Tollie Scott; her son, Lynn King; her sisters, Dorothy Graham, Irene Todd, Ruth Rongey, Opal Thompson and Dora Campbell and her brothers, Gene Cameron, Johnny Cameron, Ray Cameron, Buster Cameron, Garland Cameron; her great granddaughter, Patience Peugh and James Cameron and many other loved ones.
She is survived by her daughter, Anne Alexander of Scranton; her sons, Thomas King and wife, Paula of Paris and Ronald King and wife, Kelly of Ashland, Mississippi; her granddaughter, that she raised as her own child for many years, Tonya Gallaway of Newbern, Tennessee; her brothers, Marvin Cameron and wife, Betty of Magazine, Kenneth Cameron and wife, Rosemary of Subiaco and Sam Cameron and wife, Mert of Caulksville; her grandchildren, James Peugh, Angel Peugh, Johnny Peugh, Sarah Nutt, Jackie Martin, Richie King, Michael King and Daniel King; 17 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Hank Weaver. Burial will follow in Baxley Cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be James Peugh, Johnny Peugh, Taylor Peugh, Skyler Peugh, Josh Andrews and Brad Gallaway.
Honorary pallbearers will be Alfred Ray Thompson, Richie King, Michael King, Daniel King, Danny Cameron and all of her co-workers at Wal-Mart in Paris.
