Sharon Gaye Collatt Bryant

of Batesville, AR

May 1, 1951 - May 12, 2024

Steve and Sharon were college sweethearts in the early 70's at ASU when they were looking toward a future as a pharmacist and schoolteacher. Graduation in May 1973 and married in December, the Bryant's were a family of four by 1979. The foundation was set for a life of love, hard work, laughter, compromise, and sticking together through thick and thin.

Steve Bryant (72), loving husband, father, ''Pop'', and friend passed away, alongside his sweet wife of 51 years, Sharon Bryant (73), caring wife, mother, ''Nena'' and friend, on May 12th, 2024. They lived life to the fullest, attending countless A-State football games both home and away, traveling, walking the dogs, swimming with the grandkids, and watching Heartland together nightly.

Steve was born to Steve Sr. and Jeanette Bryant in Alma, AR on September 18, 1951. Sharon was born to John L. and Gay Collatt in Little Rock, AR on May 1, 1951. They are preceded in death by their parents. Steve and Sharon's legacy includes children Monica Bryant and Mallory (& Justin) Burton, grandchildren Joseph and Sydney Burton. Steve is also survived by his brother Eddie (& Judith) Bryant and sister Kathy Summers.

More than anything, Steve and Sharon were known as two of the nicest people you will ever meet. We are all better people for having been touched by their lives.

The celebration will be held at:
University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville (UACCB)
Independence Hall
2005 White Drive Batesville, AR 72501

Steve and Sharon touched many lives with their kindness and generosity, and we look forward to honoring their legacy together.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Steve and Sharon's memory to Humane Society of Independence County, John 3:16 Ministries (Charlotte, AR) or Special Olympics Arkansas, causes close to their hearts.

We hope you will join us in celebrating the remarkable lives of Steve and Sharon Bryant. Your presence and support are greatly appreciated during this time.
