Brian Ellis Coker, 43, of Little Rock, AR passed away on Friday, June 7, 2024, in San Diego, California. He was born in Little Rock on January 5, 1981. Following graduation from Catholic High School, Brian attended the University of Arkansas and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. He was also a proud member and officer of Sigma Chi Fraternity.
Following graduation, Brian began his career in the banking and financial services industry. He subsequently attended Stonier Graduate School of Banking in Philadelphia, PA and received the Graduate Banking & Wharton Leadership Certificate. After working 17 years for two different Arkansas banks, Brian founded Coker Advisors LLC to work with Bank Owners in Arkansas with specific benefit plans to increase profitability. He was also a licensed Life & Health Insurance Broker.
Brian's hobbies included golf, hunting, outdoor sports and a particular love for the Dallas Cowboys. A golf highlight was in 2006 when he and his younger brother, Brent, and their dad enjoyed a trip to Scotland and played a variety of golf courses including the Old Course at St. Andrews. Brian was blessed with many friends who valued his friendship. He was very loyal to both friends and co-workers.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rev William Richard and Berniece Vestal and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Coker, a brother; Brent Coker, and a cousin, Kathy Jaycox. Survivors include his daughter, Brynnley Coker; his father, Daryl Coker; his mother, Candy Coker Ramsey; his aunts, Becky Bashor (Kent); Claudia Milam (Randy); and his cousins, Kemp Jaycox and Laura Calhoun.
The family will receive friends at a Visitation on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 from 5:30 7:30pm at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church, 4823 Woodlawn, Little Rock, AR. There will be a private family graveside service on Wednesday, June 26, 2024.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Chambers Bank, 1685 Joyce Blvd, Fayetteville, AR, 72703 and designated for Brynnley Coker Trust.
