Lola Faye Jones, 91, passed away on May 27, 2024 in West Memphis, Arkansas surrounded by her family and friends. She was born on September 11,1932 to William Chalmer and Lillian Bernice Fraley Young in Tyronza, Arkansas and she immediately brought joy and laughter into their world.
Lola Faye was married to Joe Harper Jones for 58 years and together they raised three children, Linda, Steve and Joe David. She was strong-willed and never backed down, but also a very family-oriented homemaker at heart. She especially enjoyed tending to her flower beds of which she was immensely proud. She was a talented seamstress that could make anything and eventually managed a Dress Factory. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Marked Tree where she taught Sunday School.
Lola Faye was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe Harper Jones and one son, Joe David Jones.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda Gail Phillips (Jimmy) of Marked Tree, Arkansas; one son, Steve Anthony Jones (Christy) of Marion, Arkansas; 10 grandchildren, Marc Phillips (Melissa) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Michael Jones (Melissa) of Campbell Hill, Illinois, Debbie Melton (Gary) of Marion, Arkansas, Jeff Phillips (Robin) of Marion, Arkansas, Regina Wydock (James) of Conway, South Carolina, Jason Jones (Nichole) of Columbus, Georgia, Jeremy Jones (Jennifer) of Phoenix City, Alabama, Brittni Daniels (Jonathan) of Phoenix City, Alabama, Ashlee Jones and Fiancé' Alex Bay of Marion, Arkansas, Emilee Jones of Marion, Arkansas; 21 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and 1 sister, Dianne Daniels (Greg).
The family would like to express special thanks to Lola's caregiver, Theresa Tucker, who provided such compassion and loving care at the end of Lola's life.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at First Baptist Church Marked Tree. The funeral service will take place on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 11:00 AM also at the First Baptist Church in Marked Tree. Burial will take place immediately following the service at Tyronza Cemetery in Tyronza, Arkansas.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in memory of Lola to First Baptist Church Marked Tree, 412 Liberty St., Marked Tree, Arkansas 72365.

Steve and Linda I have been thinking of Lola Faye since I heard of her passing. She was unique in a wonderful way and my memories of her are of a very strong woman with a great heart. So glad I knew her.
We will miss you dearly! I have nothing but sweet and loving memories of you and the time we spent together. You were always here for me, you and Joe both. I’ll always cherish our relationship, trips to Memphis, visiting with you at Church and our time in each other’s home! And even the 1 o’clock calls in the night when your alarm was going off.
Linda, Steve and family, your mom will forever remain in our hearts and memories. God Bless and Comfort to you all.
