Laura Ann Cullum

of Conway, AR

September 15, 1934 - May 24, 2024

Laura Ann Cullum, known as Ann, was called to her Heavenly home on May 24, 2024 at the age of 89. Ann passed peacefully in her sleep surrounded by family and loved ones. Ann suffered from Dementia for several years. Born on September 15, 1934 in Wattensaw, Arkansas to Donald and Alice Mowrer, Ann had two of the finest siblings, Johnathan French and Marion Routh. They were brought up on a cotton farm, where she proudly claimed to pick a lot of cotton.

Ann is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, William Royce Cullum; daughter, Laura Karen Vandiver (Willy); son, William David Cullum (Renee); son, Jeffery Don Cullum (Verlinda) and sister-in-law, Wilma Jean Pinkston.

Ann loved her 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She loved her family and often entertained them in her spacious home.

Ann loved the arts and was an accomplished watercolorist and oil painter. Ann was one of four founding members of the Conway League of Artists, which she served dearly. Many of her paintings are displayed in homes and businesses throughout the Conway area.

Ann loved to read and has an impressive library at their home of 50 years.

Ann worked in numerous occupations over the years in the front office environment. One of her proudest accomplishments was painting the ''Dr. Ouncer Prevention'' Posters for the Arkansas Health Department in the 60s.

She was well traveled and loved to see new places. Ann circled the western states on an Amtrac with several of her friends, which she enjoyed dearly. She has many photos of her journeys and other events.

Ann was preceded in death by her father, Donald Mowrer; her mother, Alice Lenderman Mowrer; her brother, John Mowrer and sister, Marion Carter.

Visitation will be held from 6-8:00pm, May 31, 2024 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, 650 Central Landing Blvd., Conway, AR 72032. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 1, 2024 beginning at 11:00am at Roller-McNutt Chapel. Burial will be at Crestlawn Memorial Park, east of Conway at 472 Highway 64 East.
