Just learned of your dad's passing. I was not aware that your mother had passed as well. Your dad was my first boss at the highway department 36 years ago and I learned a lot from him. He and your mother attended my wedding 30 years ago as well. A great person and a very dedicated family man who will be missed greatly.

Mark and family I just heard about your loss today- so sorry for his family and all who knew and loved him - Gary was a great gentleman, neighbor and long time friend. My heart is heavy today
Mark, I always enjoyed running into Joe at the Prince Street Walmart where we would clog the aisle while conversing over the banana display. I also have pleasant recollections of Joe and Gerald sitting outside in the shade of the house swapping stories about politics, highways, trucking, farming and whatever else came up. They didn't settle any issues, but someone had to try! Carolyn and I would remain in the house talking about shoes and our life-long history of hilarious situations.
Joe was quiet-spoken but intelligent, diligent, congenial, helpful, loyal, friendly, caring, and committed to family. The Lord put those two together for reasons of His own. Between Joe and Carolyn, they deserve most of the positive adjectives that exist. Thank you, Lord, for creating two of your very best.
Mr. Lewis was so kind & we had many conversations throughout the growing season about lawn care as he drove his lawn mower by our house on his way to Mark’s house. He had such great knowledge & was always quick to give a kind compliment. We have missed our conversations with him. He will be greatly missed in our neighborhood.
Mark, praying for peace and comfort for you and your family during this difficult time.
I'm sorry for your loss. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
I'm so sorry to hear this, he was such a wonderful man and we loved having him across the street from us. He was always so kind to us and the boys, as was Carolyn, and we have missed him the last few months.
Gary Joe was such a fine man, husband, father and doting grandfather. I will always remember the wonderful care he took of his dear wife, our treasured friend, Carolyn. They also deserve great credit for the devotion to their grandson during his treatment for leukemia. Mark, Dayna and all, please accept my condolences.
My kids and I always looked forward to driving by his house when we were coming and going from the neighborhood and waving at him! He was always so kind. Sending prayers!
Mark, David and I are so sorry for your loss. Your Mom and Dad were both such special people. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.

I witnessed the projects first hand living across the street from Mark. Gary would come over and help me with my projects in the yard as well, without even being asked!
