William ''Bill'' Young was born February 25, 1949 in Helena, Arkansas to Dan Young and Florene Wilson. He graduated from Marvell High School and attended Memphis State University where he obtained an associates degree in liberal arts.
A resident of Dallas, Texas for many years, Mr. Young was an interior designer for PLM Design Firm and was later co-owner of Interior Design and Architecture of Dallas.
Bill is survived by two step-sisters, Fonnie Crabtree of Cincinnati, Ohio and Helen Fitzpatrick of Newport, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Florene ''Flo''; step-father, Woodrow Byrd; maternal grandparents, Ollie Mae Sumpter and Dewitt Wilson; paternal grandparents, Fred and Rosie Young and half-sister, Shelia Young.
Visitation will be held 10 am Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Faith United Methodist Church with the funeral service starting at 11 am. Burial will follow at 3 pm at Sunset Memorial Park, Walnut Corner, Arkansas.

Bill was one of my best friends for many years. He was one of the most kind people I've ever known. He was everyone's friend. The world needs more of people like him. He will be dearly missed.
