Joyce D. Keathley, 82, passed away May 18, 2024 at Salem Place Nursing and Rehab in Conway, Arkansas. She was born August 27, 1941 in Fountain Hill, Arkansas.
Joyce was a graduate of Crossett High School. After graduation, she attended UCA (formerly Arkansas State Teachers College). She retired after 28 years on May 15, 2007 from Methodist Children's Home as Accounting Manager. She was a long time member of Pike Avenue Baptist Church in NLR. Joyce loved to shop for hours and visit with friends and family. She adored her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren tremendously. She enjoyed quiet time as well, being an avid reader found relaxing with a good book on many occasions. She was the best wife, best friend, mother, step-mother, grandma and great-grandma a person could hope for.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Merle Hester; a sister, Norma Jean White (Reggie) and a niece, Wendy White.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Jerry Keathley of 51 years of NLR; daughter, Dena Gebhardt (Bill) of NLR; step-daughters, Eva Adamson of Mayflower, Karen Dycus (Tim) of Heber Springs and a step-son, Kenneth Keathley of Mayflower. Grandchildren, Shane Prater (Christin) of Mayflower, Candice Schnebelen (Brian) of NLR, Ciara Robbins (Chris) of Springdale, Ashley Loftis (Heath) of Stuttgart, Timothy Dycus of Heber Springs and Briana Gebhardt of Tulsa Oklahoma; Great-grandchildren, Carson Prater, Mason Prater, Atticus Schnebelen, Ava Robbins, Cooper Robbins, Emma Robbins, Garrison Loftis, Elizabeth Loftis, Elliot Loftis, Lily Loftis and Lorenzo Gebhardt; A brother, John Hester (Annette) of LR; a nephew, Gary White of Missouri; a grand-niece, Karen Stephenson of Louisiana; a grand-nephew, Mitchell White of Norway and grand-nephews, Brice Hester of North Carolina and Brannan Hester of South Asia.
A visitation will be held at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 1:00pm and a funeral service at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 2:00pm. Burial following at Heffington Cemetery in Enola.
Pallbearers will be Shane Prater, Carson Prater, Mason Prater, Tim Dycus, Timothy Dycus and Bill Gebhardt
