To the entire Burroughs family (my Dad would say “Burse”, like purse, just one syllable! Haha) John will be so missed! My heart is so very heavy for you all and I pray that you find comfort in all your happy memories, because I am sure there are very many. The Cash/Decker families certainly have many. I never remember a time in my life that our family, especially at my grandparents, Buster and Mae Decker’s home, wasn’t interacting with one or all of the Burroughs family. It always included a lot of laughter and fun. My memories of John and June are such fond and happy memories. They always came with big smiles on their faces. John would always take the time to stop and visit with me, every time we’d see one another in passing. The bond between the two families was a special one. One that has lasted for a few generations. That’s special, in this day and time. You girls will always be such special people to me. Both of your parents were “salt of the earth”, they leave behind a wonderful legacy.
Love and Friends Always
Jana
So sorry to hear of Johns passing. Not many of us left anymore. John and James were childhood friends when we lived on Dodd mountain. So long ago but his sister Mary and brother Bill lived with us for a time when we moved to Wichita Ks. May his family have comfort and peace .

We always loved our time with Uncle John, Aunt June, and our cousins! He was always happy and laughing!! He will be dearly missed as June is also. Love, hugs and prayers to you.
My condolences to Johniece, Cindy and all of the family. Big John taught me how to hang sheetrock and most importantly, how to mud and tape with little sanding. I always think of him every time I grab a taping knife to patch a wall. He will be missed but the great memories will be with us.
I am so sorry for your loss! We have such fond memories of “Big John.” He was always smiling, joking and having fun when the cousins were all around. Love you all!
So sorry for your loss. He was a great guy who would help anyone. He will be missed. Prayers for all his family.
Cindy and Johniece, I was saddened to hear that John had passed away. He was a good neighbor and good friend to Harold. I know you will miss him dearly, as many others will as well.
