Sandra Ann Holland

of Little Rock, AR

November 20, 1956 - May 5, 2024

Sandra Ann (Bass) Holland was born November 20, 1956 in Little Rock, AR to Samuel and Margaret Ann Bass. She departed from this world on Sunday, May 5, 2024 with her family by her side. She was a 1975 graduate of Wilbur Mills High School.

She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Steve Holland. Also, survived by her children: daughter, Stephanie Bent and husband, Jeremy; sons, Stephen Andrew Chandler, Paul Holland and wife, Angela and Nathan Holland; Her grandchildren that she idolized and adored, Caden and Cole Bent; Jacob, Sean and Peyton Holland; Karlie Douglas and husband, Garrett; Brent, Austin and Ashley Holland and the joy of Sandra's life great-granddaughter, Hadley Reese Douglas. Many cousins and beloved friends also survive her.

She also had a special friend, Jane Barfield that she went to high school with. They lost touch with each other for many years, but reconnected the last few years and enjoyed getting together on trips. She also had a special traveling friend, Ruth Turner that passed away a couple of years ago. She also found out that she could make her own greeting cards at home. She was constantly printing cards for birthdays, holidays and just because she wanted to say hello.

For many years, Sandra worked at State Employees Benefit Co. where she made many friends. She retired from the Pulaski County Sanitation Department, where she found many new friends.

Sandra and Steve met for the first time on Dec. 7, 1990 and that date was a running joke throughout the marriage. They had many joyous adventures on trips across the country from New York City to Las Vegas and many places in between. It was not a good trip unless something out of the ordinary occurred.

Sandra enjoyed all holidays and the changing of the seasons. She had home décor and linens for every season and holiday and drove Steve crazy having him swap out totes for each one. She found a Bingo game set for Christmas and she spent most of the year stocking up on little gifts to pass out to the winners. Steve was usually the caller for the Bingo games.

All those that loved her will sadly miss Sandra. Her biting wit and bit of naughtiness made her a delight to those that got to know her. Sometimes she was a private person, but when she opened up, look out. You thought a tornado was coming through.

Sandra was baptized at Ironton Baptist Church in the Landmark community of Pulaski County. She loved her Savior and endeavored to follow the lessons that Jesus Christ taught her in heart.

Now, Sandra is with the Lord and we look forward to the time that we will see her again in our Glorious Home

Visitation will be 6:00pm until 8:00pm Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home. Funeral will be 10:00am Friday, May 10, 2024 at Roller-Drummond Chapel, entombment will be at Riverwood Memorial Gardens.

Steve, Drew and family: I just found out that Sandra has passed away. I’m so sorry for your loss. I have so many memories of us working the concession stand together when Josh and Drew were in school—so crazy and so much fun! I will miss her holiday cards every year. I’m so sorry that I didn’t make the time to call her over these last few years. Sending you all prayers for comfort. RIP Dahlink!
