Helen Lawanda Whitt, 76, of Roland passed away May 4, 2024. She was born November 13, 1947 in Roland, AR to Edward and Ila Mae (Earnheart) O'Neal. Lawanda spent her life serving the Lord and taking care of her loved ones. She was kind, loving, caring and fearless, for she knew that God was always with her. She taught all of us that even if you do not agree with someone you can still love them. She was a blessing to everyone who met her. She loved watching her Cardinals play and watching old westerns, spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids, her sisters and family. She loved serving the Lord and her community.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Ila Mae (Earnheart) O'Neal; Husband, Russel Whitt; daughter, Lela Whitt and sister, Patricia Herndon. She is survived by her sons, Clay Whitt and Kevin Whitt (Teresa); 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Jean (James) Zulpo, Kathy (Jack) Zini, Sybil (Tim) Netherton; one brother Charlie O'Neal and a host of Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation will be at Roland Baptist Church 1:00 p.m.- 2:00 p.m. May 10, 2024 with services following at 2:00 p.m. Burial to follow at 3:00 p.m. at Rainey Cemetery in Roland, AR

Lawanda always had a smile wherever I met her at. She was friendly, kind, and really did love her Lord. I will miss her but lm at peace knowing she is finally with her Lord and her husband and family.
