Wanda Lee Akers, age 82, of Harrison passed away at home on April 20, 2024. She was born July 22, 1941 in Batesville, Indiana to Orville and Mary Lee Day Miller.
Wanda was a Baptist and had lived in Lakeland, Florida most of her life. She moved to Harrison to be closer to her sons. She worked in the restaurant industry all her life. She had a great love for her grandchildren and children. She loved doing crossword puzzles and visiting with friends at Apple Tree Apartments. Wanda will be missed deeply
Wanda is survived by her three sons and their wives, Jamie and Angela Akers of Lead Hill, Ricky and Georgia Akers of Omaha and Raymond and Leslie Law of Harrison. She is also survived by Jamie's children and grandchildren, Dakota (Dallas) Akers and Karleigh (Eric) Williamson and her great-grandchildren, Drake Akers and Baylor and Cooper Williamson; Ricky's children and grandchildren, Tyler Akers, Coty Akers and Riki Akers (Pedrosa); her grandchildren, Seth Akers, Lane Akers, Hayden Akers and Haylee Akers and great-grandchildren, Waylon Akers and Tayler Akers, Layton Pedrosa and Joey Lynn Pedrosa; Raymond's children and grandchildren, Danielle (Brian) Stevens and Ashley Law (Anna) Lewis; her grandchildren, Amir Stevens, Braxton Stevens, Raelynn Stevens, Bentlee Stevens and Ryleigh Stevens.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Van Akers and her daughters, Ruth Ann Davis and Rhonda Harvey
Visitation was on Monday, April 29, 2024 at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
Rest in peace. Till we meet again ill keep u in my heart till then. Miss you granny. I love you and miss you and wish I could have said goodbye. No one told me anything. Thank you for loving me and always being there. I would like to known when the next person passes away in my family. Please don't leave me out like this would have been nice to atleast know.
