Jerry babysat for my brother and me during a summer when he was in high school - his family lived next door to us on Burns Street. I have many good memories!

Prayers for his family and loved ones.

I met Jerry in October 1976 when I joined the Alexandria City Police Department. Jerry was my FTO and taught me how to police. We began good friends and went hunting together. Jerry was hired by LSP in 1977. I was hired in 1979 and we both assigned to Troop. We spent our careers together. We were both on the SWAT team and shared many missions. Jerry and myself went to the same church. I will always cherish his friendship.

I met Jerry in 1979. I was eighteen years old and a Freshman at Northeast Louisiana University. I did a ride-along with him on a Saturday night. He was patient enough to let me ride and ask questions for 2 hours. A night I will never forget with E67. What a good man! I’m saddened to hear of his passing. May God comfort the Morgan family.

Jerry and I grew up in the same town and worked together at the Louisiana State Police. He was a good man, a good friend and a very good Trooper. I pray that God will comfort his family and friends during this time of loss and sadness.

Wanda, both you and Jerry were a special part of our little crew at Woodland. I always felt supported by Jerry and appreciated his help with students and parents. He was firm and had high expectations, but he was always fair. I enjoyed hearing him tell stories about his childhood in Louisiana. He will be greatly missed!
