Donald Ray Person of Harrison, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 in the comfort of his home. He was born in Ashland, Louisiana on May 16, 1947 to Robert H. and Lou (Joyner) Person. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Gary.
He loved mule riding, squirrel hunting and telling tall tales. Pa Darling loved and was loved by his friends and family. His son, Gary, has been waiting in heaven for his dad to join him. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Edith Ann Person; his son, Ricky Dornak and his wife, Eva; three grandchildren, Dewey, Jason, Amanda and her husband, Mike; ten great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and many other family and friends.
Visitation was on Friday, April 26, 2024 at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
The Funeral service was on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with Pastor Lonnie Burks officiating.
Burial was at Maplewood Cemetery.
The pallbearers were Gordon Padfield, Jackie Nelson, Mike Armstrong, Dale Smith, Kevin Lippy and Tommy Creamer.
The honorary pallbearers were Wayne Estes, John David Phillips, Tim Creamer, Jim Parker and Dean Walters.

I am going to miss you SUNSHINE! You always made everyone smile! Going to miss talking with you about the Saints! Prayers to you all!
Donnie Boy was my friend for a long time. We loved to get together to visit and talk about old times. Heaven’s gain and our loss! Praying for Ann and the family!
Uncle Donnie was such a happy and cheerful person! He was a one of a kind ! Im sure going to miss him!
