Mary Jane Gentry, born to Dollie and Wilburn Riden 9-13-1941 in Marianna, AR passed away on 4-13-2024.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Gentry; daughter, Pam Carpenter (Dewayne); 2 sons, Deal Johnson (Sherri) and Dennis Johnson (Becky). Tommie Lyn Herren (Andy), Tana Evans (Bob); brother, Jim Riden (Brenda) and sister, Shirley Mallonee (Charlie). Mary had 9 grandchildren, Summer, Derek, Damon, Chris, Misty, Tiffany, Brittney, Jordan and Emilee. Numerous great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews she loved very much
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Billy and Glenn Riden and one granddaughter, Kelly.
She loved gardening, canning, her flowers, especially her rose bushes. Mary always wanted to share the start of her flowers and food from her garden. She loved reminding Tom that she killed more deer than him. Mary loved to hunt and fish at Ferncliff camp. She loved playing the piano and we would all sing along. Mary was so proud of her baby grand piano that Tom bought her. She loved the Lord and her church family. Mary loved to play the organ and sing specials at church. It is a Blessing to know we will see her again one day in heaven.
Visitation will be held at Hebron Baptist Church, 18715 Kanis, Little Rock, Arkansas, Monday, April 22, 2024 at 10:30 am, with a Celebration of Life starting at 11:00 am.

I only knew Mary for a little over 8 years ago. She played the organ at Hebron Baptist Church. I loved Mary. She was a very loving and giving person. Her love for Jesus was always known. Prayers for all that love her

Mary touched the lives of many with her love, her caring & giving nature. She always welcomed me in her home, treated me as her family, she always told Pam & Me when we left her house. " Now you girls be good" I will truly miss her, but she will always live on in my heart. I'm so very grateful to have known this beautiful lady.
