I loved listening to her telling me about her flowers, cat, and how much she enjoyed going to church and her family. She always tell me how she loved my dad, her brother, and missed him terribly. I’m happy to know she’s with him and her sisters

So sorry to hear of the passing of Merle. I still have plants seeds she sent me several years ago and I plant one seed at every house we move to over the years. I loved to listen to all the family stories of my grandparents and them over the years. What an amazing lady she will be missed

Mrs. Hunter was a dear, sweet neighbor. She loved to visit over the fence, but she loved it even more when we came to her door and she invited us in. We never left her home empty-handed. There was always a stash of sodas in the fridge and fresh baked goodies or jams/jellies in the kitchen. Every blooming thing in my yard came from Mrs. Hunter who handed me bulbs and cuttings and gave me instructions on when and where to plant. She was a giver in every since of the word. I treasure the gift of her friendship and the way she loved my children.
