I worked with Laverne at CHDC for 6 years she was a great supervisor. We went to same church she is a great friend and mentor. May she rest now and we will meet again one day.
Don and I loved our Ms. Laverne! She and I would talk several times a month. When we would visit Brookdale, she'd always make a point to find us and give us one of her special hugs!! I once heard a Pastor say at a funeral, "When someone says they've lost someone that's a Christian...we say. She's not lost! We know exactly where she is!" And, we all know exactly where Ms. Laverne is! She's in Heaven hugging the angels!
Love and prayers to all family and friends of Mrs. Gilmore. I know she will be greatly missed.
Phyllis, I am so sorry about your mother. I know you have great memories. She is rejoicing in heaven

Our deepest sympathy to sweet Laverne's family during this time of mourning. We have many fond memories of Laverne, all centered around attending church with her at Harlan Park. She was such a kind and gentle lady. Laverne embodied my (Sherri) idea of the perfect lady. We have missed seeing her for several years but know we will see her again in God's great heaven. You are in our prayers. With love, Gary & Sherri
