Dear Heber will be missed by so many. She was a one-of-a-kind friend and encourager. She always had a kind word and a piece of wisdom for me. She will not be forgotten by me and I'll certainly miss her dearly!

Marshall, Martin, and Marie,

Michelle and I loved your mom so much. She is the only person we have ever known with the name Heber. This is fitting, because she was certainly one of a kind. We have many fond memories of her with her camera at games. She shared those photos with us and we will have those forever. Our thoughts, prayers, and hugs are with you all today and the days ahead.

We are so saddened to hear about Heber. I don’t know of any other couple who have been so encouraging and supportive to Baptist Collegiate Ministry. Heber’s words of encouragement and challenge to continue the great BCM ministry at the UofA and UCA will echo for years to come. She will be missed.

Heber and Steve were two of our first friends when we joined Woodland Heights. Heber and I, along with many others hosted many showers together. She was a joy and a blessing and will be missed by many. Our prayers are with your family - Joe and Joyce Norton

We loved Heber. She was such a sweet and caring lady and witness for Jesus. She truly lived out her faith. I know she is happy to be reunited with Steve.

Our deepest sympathy to the family during this time of grief. Heber was a sweet and lovely woman. She always had a smile and an encouraging word. She brought Gary a little desk ornament once - a "tacks shelter." It's been on his desk ever since. For many years she brought all of our staff a yearly calendar from Chick-Fil-A so we could all "eat lunch on Steve and me!" (Each month had a coupon for something free or greatly reduced.) What a sweetheart she was. We are going to miss this faithful and godly lady, but will look forward to seeing her again in Heaven.

We were saddened to learn of Heber's passing (And Steve's, as well). Through the Bible Memory Association and many church functions they certainly impacted our family and many others for our Lord Jesus. We shall not forget her, and will be lifting up the family as we await that certain reunion we shall have with them in the clouds when we meet the Lord in the air.

In Christ's love,
Ann & Ed

Jeff and I are sending your family our deepest sympathies. Heber was such a great woman of pure faith - her family was so very special to her and she treated us like we were blood kinfolk. I always think of her when I feed my sourdough starter and have to laugh at the fact that while cleaning up her kitchen one day, I mistakenly through her starter out - not understanding what the heck it was. Our love and blessings to you all!

I ran into Ms. Heber at the gym often. She was a faithful member. She would always stop and talk with me. I felt encouraged after visiting with her. Ms. Heber would build me up as a wife and mother. She was a jewel and gone far too soon. Praying for her family as they remember her.

Only met Heber one time she brought her aunt Ruth to Clarksville , they stopped in the thrift shop where I was working . Knew her parents as my mom and her dad were in the Same class at Clarksville and mom drug me to classes reunions Her mom was librarian At uca But her brother and I attended same church in Clarksville ; to me he was example of what a Christian should be taking numerous people to dr appointment s , running church thrift store and was my mom beloved Sunday school teacher and fairly good drama professor at Ozarks. . Know Heber was more than sister but also a friend . Heber’ s family is in my prayers.

Marshall, Martin, and Marie:

I’m going to miss my phone calls with my dear friend of 40+ years. We made many miles together cheering on our sons at ballgames. We had different views on lots of things, but we always said we’d just have to agree to disagree and our different views never got in the way of our true friendship. I’m sure going to miss my friend, but I know that she and Steve had a heavenly reunion. Prayers for you all during these hard days.
