It is impossible to fully describe Aunt Nell and what she meant to us all. She was so selfless, and even when I talked with her last Thursday, she did not let on that she was so sick. I know she didn't want me to worry about her, and she was always so independent and stubborn. She was always there throughout my life and every big event I ever had. I could tell countless stories of the special things she did for me. Special creative things she made for me or helped me make. One year when I went to camp, she had letters delivered to me daily with sketches, and that was not the only time she did things like that for me. Aunt Nell was such an amazing artist. I love and cherish all her sketches and paintings through the years. She was so incredibly talented. Remembering the hours and hours she spent down at the creek and pond catching turtles, tadpoles, and minnows with all of my cousins. Long walks and hours in the woods, then mom and her would pick ticks off of us we picked up in the woods. She let all of us spend the night when we were kids several times, watch horror movies, and stay up super late!! We always had fun at Aunt Nell's house. The hours and hours of UNO, Clue, and card games that would occur. I will terribly miss you, Aunt Nell, and I always thought of you as not just an aunt but a close friend as well.

Nell was an amazing Sister N Love, daughter and Aunt. She loved her Nieces and Nephews as her own. She took them on nature walks weekly and made sure they knew what farm life was like. She and her sister turned summers into canning, gardening, family lunches, card playing and gathering at Granny's on most Saturdays. She might have quiet but you always knew you was loved when you received a photograph and painting from her cause it was truly from her heart. She will be greatly missed by all who she was closest to.

Nell was a good sister in law. Many years we traveled to Washington D.C together to see James when he was in the army.
