Berleigh Bernard Marion Procknaw, 86, of West Memphis, AR passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024.
Berleigh was born on March 8, 1938 to Mr. Bert Hamilton Procknaw and Mrs. Pauline Ethel Procknaw in Columbus, KY.
He was an accomplished master diesel mechanic with over 65 years of experience in his respected field. The First Baptist Church of West Memphis was his home church; he was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and The Order of The Eastern Star.
His hobbies included fishing, tinkering with different projects, archery and spending time with family and friends despite him becoming deaf at 26. He was married to Cathey Jean Chumney Procknaw for over 63 years and was blessed to raise two sets of children in his life. He raised three children from 1960 to 1980 and another set from 1990 to 2014.
Surviving him are his loving wife, Cathey; one son, Michael Procknaw; two daughters, Susan Procknaw and Brenda Huston; grandchildren, Adrenne Boone (Joey), Owen Procknaw (Madison), Lilly Procknaw, Monica Prockaw, Van Procknaw and Christopher Huston; Great Grandchildren, Denver Boone, Leland Boone, Emerson Procknaw and Theodore Procknaw and sister, Bernice White.
Preceding him in death were his sister, Carrie Sue McClure and brother, Howard Procknaw.
We are so very sorry to learn of your loss. We will miss seeing him around the neighborhood. Our prayers are with you all.

I had the pleasure of working with Bert at Barnhart Crane. He was a great guy and knew his way around a diesel engine. He’s going to be greatly missed.
