Randy Paul Rumsey, 74, of Paris, Arkansas passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024 in Fort Smith with his loved ones by his side.
Randy was born May 8, 1949 in Little Rock, Arkansas to his parents, Henry Bronson Rumsey and Pauline Catherine (Barnett) Rumsey. He was a Vietnam War veteran of the United States Army. He worked for Perkins Pipe Supply of Little Rock as a pipe fitter and was a member of the Pipe Fitters Union. Randy was also a member of the Black Tigers Honor Guard for Vietnam Veterans in Illinois and the American Legion Post #1 in Little Rock. Every Wednesday night was game night with the guys, they would go out and play cards, darts, shoot pool, throw horseshoes or play baggo. He also loved spending quality time with his family, they were everything to him and he would tell you that nothing was more important than family.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Ray Rumsey.
He is survived by two sons, Randy Paul Rumsey II and wife, Sarah of Hot Springs Village and Robert Franklin Rumsey of Benton; two daughters, Cathy Pauline Rumsey of Hot Springs Village, Diana Rogers and husband, Van of Paris; two step-daughters, Jean Ann Wright of Benton and Chere Crow of Paris; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other family members and friends.
A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00P.M. Monday, April 1, 2024 at Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Roller Funeral Home in Paris with burial at Pine Crest Cemetery in Bryant with military honors at 3:00 P.M.
Funeral arrangements and service are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Bill Lewis, Leonard Needham, Jerry Brewer, Randy Ray Rumsey, Danny Reno, Stacy Folden and Randy Paul Rumsey II.
I miss you every moment of everyday daddy. How proud I am to have you as my father. You are my best friend and my absolute favorite person. My heart aches for you. I am so blessed to know that I will see you again. You shaped who I am as a person and I will forever be greatful for you. I love you and until we meet again my sweet daddy!
To Diana and the family- So sorry for your loss, I know your Daddy meant the world to you and I’m so glad you have his memories to hold onto to as you navigate life from here. May the Lord comfort you all and hold you close. Love to you all!
My deepest condolences to the entire Rumsey family. I know you all will pull through this difficult time in your lives. God is with you and your dad is looking over you all. Continue to think of his handsome smile and his words of wisdom. I consider myself so lucky and blessed to not just have known him, but to have been a part of his family. Please remember him by his unconditional love for each of his children and his unwavering faith to do right. He was such a good man and will truly be missed. I will remember him in this way forever. Thank you all for sharing your father with me.

I would run into Randy frequently at the Post Office. I know this man loved his family deeply.
It was certainly an honor to conduct his service. The peace of God and His Presence was sensed in a real way.

Enjoyed visiting with Randy when in Paris visiting Mom. He was her neighbor and checked on her often to see if she was alright or needed anything. My prayers for the family. He will be missed by many!
