Rita,
I was deeply saddened to hear about Janet’s passing. She was not only a dear friend but also an exceptional educator whose impact touched countless lives.
Janet's dedication to her roles as a sister, mother, grandmother, daughter, companion and friend, as well as her passion for mathematics education, truly made her shine brightly in this world.
She was one of the most brilliant professors with whom I have ever worked. I cannot tell you how many times I watched her explain a concept to a student so that he or she fully understood how to generate a solution. She made students want to learn math!
I was so happy to share in Janet’s celebration and joy in earning her doctoral degree. She was extremely dedicated to teaching and service. She was often called upon to assist with special projects and initiatives. Simply put, she was a superstar!
Janet’s laughter, kindness, beauty and wisdom will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Please know that my prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. May you find comfort in the cherished memories you shared with Janet, and may her legacy continue to inspire and uplift those whose lives she touched.

Prayers for family and friends. She was such a beautiful person
Dearest Rita, Was so sorry to hear of the loss of your sisters death. I know you have faithfully been there for her during her illness at home and at the Nursing home as much as you possibly could, making that drive so many days during that time. I know you will miss her terribly and Butch will as well. They have been through so much together during those years they were fortunate to have together. We pray that God will wrap you in His loving care and surround you and your family with His love at this difficult time.
