Bernoria ''Sue'' Cecil, 82, of Conway, AR went to be with the Lord, March 21, 2024 after struggling with dementia for many years. She was born March 18, 1942 in Fostoria, Ohio to Robert E. and Margaret Brown. Bernoria was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Robert C. Brown and her husband of 59 years, John Boyd Cecil.
Sue was raised in McDonald, Tennessee where she graduated from Bradley County High School. She and John started their own family while in McDonald. Over the years, their lives moved them around Tennessee and Arkansas. Sue was a lover of cooking, cake decorating, painting, gardening and nature. Sue shared her skills with many in the communities that she lived by, teaching cooking classes and owning a ceramic shop, that she ran out of her home. She always created beautiful flower gardens no matter where she lived. John and Sue retired and moved to Mayflower where they lived for several years.
Bernoria is survived by her sons, Tim (Cheryl) Cecil and Mike (Cecelia) Cecil and daughter, Lori Hofherr (Dwayne) and honorary daughter, Reign Britton. She leaves 7 grandchildren, Jessica SenClair (Everett), Austin Hofherr, Jacob Hofherr, Emily Cecil, Alison Cecil, Riley Cecil and Jenna Hofherr; 1 great-granddaughter, Lillian SenClair; along with many honorary family members that she treated as family.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at 10:30am at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Conway. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, in Conway, AR.
