George Louis Turnbo 78 and Rebecca Joyce (Griffin) Turnbo 71 went home to be with our Lord together on March 2nd, 2024.
George was born to Jessie Turnbo and Mamie (Smith) Turnbo in Caruthersville Mo on November 29th, 1945. Becky was born to Glen Griffin and Nola Griffin Wilson in Steele MO on May 25, 1952. They were members of First Assembly of God of West Memphis for many years. They met at church when young and married on July 26th, 1971, and were married for 52 years.
George served his country in Vietnam and retired as a truck driver which was a career he loved.
Becky was a nurse for thirty years as this was her calling. But their favorite titles were Pawpaw and Granny. Their family was the delight of their lives.
George was preceded in death by his parents Jessie and Mamie Turnbo. Becky was preceded in death by her father Glen Griffin and sister Sherry Darr.
George and Becky are survived by their three children: Jennifer Rivera and husband Sam, Jason Turnbo and wife Marlene, Jeremy Turnbo, and wife Kallie. Grandchildren: Erich, Hannah, Daniel, Jackson, Brady, Ryan, and Gabe. Great grandchildren: Liberty and Aureli. Becky's sisters: Pam Andelman, Glenda Hurley and their families plus countless other family members and friends.
Both George and Rebecca will be laid to rest on March 25, 2024, at Crittenden Memorial Park. Their funeral service will take place before at in the chapel of Roller Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM and Service at 12:00 PM.
