January 15, 1944 - March 19, 2024
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Iva Garrett, who passed away on March 19, 2024 at the age of 80.
Born on January 15, 1944 in Guy, Arkansas, she grew up in Little Rock and later moved to Greenbrier, where she lived most of her life, before moving to Conway at the end of her life. She was a dedicated and loving wife to her late husband, Eddie Garrett; a devoted mother to her children, Lango Garrett and Kay Kay Garner and a member of Greenbrier Church of Christ.
Iva Lene Garrett lived a fulfilling life and was a woman of many talents and passions. She had a green thumb and loved tending to her garden, which was always in full bloom. She enjoyed solving crossword puzzles in her free time, loved dogs and enjoyed traveling, especially with her sister, Sue Johnson, granddaughters, Krista and Whitney and great friend, Cindy Wood.
Iva Lene Garrett was a kind and generous soul, always putting others' needs before her own. Her love and compassion extended to all those who knew her and she will be remembered for her infectious smile and warm personality.
Iva is preceded in death by her parents, Ivory Bettis and Julia Lane Bettis of Guy; her husband, Eddie Garrett of Greenbrier and her great-grandson, Max Elsinger of Conway. She is survived by her sister, Sue Johnson of Greenbrier; brother, Eddie Bettis of Greenbrier; her son, Lango Garrett of Greenbrier; her daughter, Kay Kay Garner (husband, Mike) of Conway; 2 grandchildren, Krista Mitchell of Fayetteville and Whitney Elsinger of Conway and 4 great-grandchildren, who will miss her dearly.
A funeral service will be held for family and friends at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 1:00pm with visitation on Friday, March 22, 2024 from 6-8:00pm at the same location.

Lango and Kay Kay, we sincerely send our love and prayers to you both from our hearts! When I returned here to marry Hal, Jr., I met your Mother! She was very soon my Aunt Iva Lene, I stopped in almost everyday to her tanning salon. Everyday I got her biggest hug and we would talk and laugh and such love came from her for me! She was like a love magnet to me, and I loved her so very much! There is 2 things I know for sure, how she loved both of you, she had something to say about you almost every day! The other thing is she was a beautiful woman outside and inside! I know she has made her final journey and she has no more worries and no more pain! Everything is well now with Aunt Iva Lene she is in Heaven having a grand reunion with Uncle Eddie and all her loved ones there! I know Jesus made a way for us to go and be with her again and what a glad morning that will be for us all! I know you both have wonderful memories of her and I ask that you both share them often! I loved Aunt Iva Lene with my whole heart and I plan to be there to share a reunion with her and all my loved ones there! We love you Lango and Kay Kay and we pray abundant blessings over you both! That the Lord's presence will be felt around you as you go through today and the days ahead! God bless you both, Hal, Jr. & Deb Garrett
