of Benton, AR
October 16, 1942 - March 8, 2024
Mary Lou Wahl went to rest in God's arms late in the night of March 8, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Rex Wahl; parents, Harry Robert Doddridge and Della Mary Doddridge; brothers Harry Jr., Norris, Eugene and John and her sisters, Geraldine Benidict and Mildred Bradshaw.
She is survived by her children, Kim Mitchell (Dennis), Rhonda Stane (Brent), Marcus Wahl (Destiny), Tina Lavon Cyr (Mark) and Tammy Cline (Gene); her grandsons, Colby, Devin, Nikolas, Brandon, Michael and Jonathan; her granddaughters, Renee and Sydney; her great-granddaughters, Olivia, Alayah and Sutton and her sister, Joan Whitlock.
Mary was born and raised in Traskwood, Arkansas where she enjoyed tending a garden with her parents, fishing with her siblings and running around her small hometown with her schoolmates. She dedicated her life to nursing, working at the Benton Health Center for 30 years and forming bonds with her long-term patients that served as a model of open-hearted generosity and compassion. Her beautiful smile and sparkling eyes conveyed the love and joy she led her life with. She drew family and friends alike into playful shenanigans that enlivened holidays, getaways and every days. She raised her children to care for their elders, those in need and each other as generously as she did and to delight in the company of loved ones. She spoiled her grandchildren unapologetically. No one who was blessed to be held in her circle could ever doubt she treasured them.
A Funeral Service will be conducted Tuesday, March 12,2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home, 6700 Alcoa Road, Benton. Visitation will begin an hour prior to service time at 1:00 pm. Interment will be in Traskwood Cemetery in Traskwood, Arkansas.

Miss Mary was a fun, caring, joyful soul. I am so sorry I did not make it to the funeral, but I know the family did a great job making it beautiful like they each are too. She is in the arms of her angel Jim and I know they are looking down from heaven smiling at us all.
