Mrs. Ruth Rose Burroughs, 101, of Flippin, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2024 in Flippin. She was born on June 22, 1922 in Chicago, Illinois to Edward and Katherine (Jana) Stober. She was married to Roy Eugene Burroughs 38 years. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, life-long member and volunteer at the Bull Shoals VFW and a volunteer at the Flippin Volunteer Fire Department. She worked at Motorola for 15 years but her main job was taking care of a loving home. She had many interest including crocheting, bingo, cards, traveling, camping, bowling, canning, cooking, gardening and loved roses (especially purple). She was also a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, whose smile was contagious and lit up the life of everyone who came into her life.
Ruth is survived by 3 sons, Richard ''Buster'' Burroughs, Dwight West and Warren West; 2 daughters, Denise Burroughs and Karen Benedix; 7 grandchildren, Mark West, Tim West, James West, Matthew West Sr., Dawn Guerin, Jr. West and Ryan Burroughs and 2 great-grandchildren, Matthew West Jr. and Katie Guerin. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Bill West and granddaughter, Krickit West.
A visitation will be held between 3-7:00p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Roller Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Redeemer Lutheran Church with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Flippin. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Baxter Home Health in Cotter for all their love and care and to special friends, Shelly Richardson, Yvonne Hill, Theresa Chitwood and Paula Cole.
Denise, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your sweet mother. She was such a loving person. She will be missed by all of us here at Bridge Builders Transportation. Prayers for comfort and peace for you and your family in the days and months ahead.

From myself and all the Bull Shoals VFW family, we send our prayers. Ruth played bingo here many years and made so many friends. She was always smiling and happy. Several of us shared her 100th birthday and that is how we will remember her. God bless your family.
