Julie "Jill" Bailey

of Rogers, AR

March 24, 1940 - February 28, 2024

Julie ''Jill'' Bailey, nee Adams, a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great Great Grandmother, Brother, and Aunt, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2024, in Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 83. She was born on March 24, 1940, in Los Angeles, California.

Julie ''Jill'' Bailey, a strong woman, was career oriented, earning her LPN degree at the age of 30. After the sudden passing of her first husband, William R. Flannagan, she moved to Little Rock, AR, where she enrolled herself back in school, earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, where she became a registered nurse. Jill worked most of her career as a detox, psychology and an infectious disease nurse in Little Rock AR & Lafayette, LA. She also found joy in real estate, obtaining her realtor license. She later retired from Our Lady of Lourdes Women's and Children's Hospital as an infectious disease nurse in 2015.

Jill was caring and compassionate, yet strong and inspirational! Jill had a deep love for animals. She loved her canine & feline children, a Maltese named Sadie, and a cat named Kiki. Sadie and Kiki were pampered, as one would for a child, and it became a running joke for the family. Jill was passionate about art, finding joy in painting pieces that circulated throughout her loved ones' homes. Jill's laugh was infectious, and her smile showed the genuine love she carried for all. Jill will be deeply missed, and her memories will forever be carried in the hearts & souls of her family, friends, and fur babies.

Jill is survived by her daughters Laurie Wehmeyer and Linda (Dennis) Westmoreland, her brother Arlie (Dottie) Adams, son-in-law Ken Bobbs Jr., grandchildren Chris (Melody) Casteel, Matthew (Courtney) Giglia, Ashley (Johnathan) Grindol, Adam Bobbs, Amanda (Charles) Faske, Tammy Hale, Jamie (Mike) Cardenzana, Zachary (Kaitlyn) Hale, Sydney Westmoreland, and Britany Harwell, 20 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, nieces Donna (Kirby) Hurley, Cindy (Derek) Scott, Debi Iden, and Marisa Gay. She is also survived by her beloved dog Sadie and her rescued cat Kiki.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Prentiss Adams and Bessie Adams, spouses William R. Flannagan and Wayne Bailey, and daughter Kathy Bobbs. She was also preceded in death by her beloved pets: Maltese dog Sugar, Pug dog Friday, and rescued cat Lucky.

Jill was great fun. We met in the pet store where I worked and I trained her adorable Maltese Sadie. I was ironically Petsitting Sadie when Jill passed from this earth. Even though I’d sat with her on multiple occasions some at a length of a week and a half somehow some way that little dog knew her mom had left this world. I cannot express my condolences enough. What a dear and true friend she has been to me. I knew Jill quite well and I know she’s a woman of strong faith. She’s in a much better place though the world seems gloomy without her. Prayers for Laurie and all the family

I've known Jill and her family for 50 years. I have fond memories of reading the same books and discussing them. She taught me how to take care of a baby kitten my daughter Corine found. Another memory is the fun we had on the lake in Hot Springs. These are just a few of my memories. I will miss my friend.

My cousin, Jill, always felt more like a sister. I loved her smile and her infectious laugh. We enjoyed many wonderful visits together whether in California, Arkansas, or Louisiana. I will miss her and will remember her with love and admiration always. My prayers and love to the family.
