of North Little Rock, AR
December 12, 1940 - February 27, 2024
Winona Faye Glaze, aged 83 years old, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on December 12, 1940 to Hartley Walter Tucker and Dorothy George Tucker and grew up in Vilonia, Arkansas.
Winona had one sister, Dian Tucker Evans, with whom she remained extremely close throughout her life. She later moved with her family to North Little Rock in her 9th grade year, where she met the love of her life, Billy Joe Glaze. The two married shortly after Winona graduated from North Little Rock High School in 1958. Winona and Billy Joe went on to have two children, Mark Alan Glaze and Andrea Glaze Land and later became the best ''Ganny'' to one granddaughter, Cara Tomlinson Butler. Winona loved traveling with her family, spending time in her craft room and tending to her flower gardens. Winona fiercely loved her family and spent her free time outside enjoying God's creation. Throughout her life, Winona had a heart for animals, rescuing numerous strays. She leaves behind her ''wild child'' Puddy Tat the cat. Just last year, Winona celebrated her 65th wedding anniversary with Billy Joe with their closest friends and family.
Winona is survived by her husband, Billy Joe; her son, Mark Glaze of Heber Springs and her daughter, Andrea Glaze Land (Bart) of North Little Rock. She is also survived by her sister, Dian Tucker Evans (John Ray) of Saltillo, AR; by one granddaughter, Cara Tomlinson Butler (Clayton) and by two step grandsons, Heath Land (Mikayla) and Peyton Land (Jordan). Finally, Winona is survived by her honorary daughter, Kelly Conover (Robert) and several nieces and nephews, John Hartley Evans, Cynthia Fortson, Craig Glaze and Christy Vail.
Visitation will be Friday, March 1st from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and memorial service on Saturday, March 2nd at 10:00 a.m. both at Roller-Owens Funeral Home in North Little Rock.

We have almost a lifetime of knowing this sweet couple that married same year as we did. Winona was such a beautiful, kind & gracious lady with such a pretty smile. She will be missed by her lifelong friends.

Love Winona! Although we had not seen each other in years, she picked right up on Facebook and sent me so many messages of positive thoughts and prayers for me and my kids. She is in paradise now and my earthly prayers go out to all that she impacted.
Tyrone and I send our love, prayers and condolences to your sweet family!
Winona was the picture of a beautiful Southern lady. Her sweet smile and twinkling eyes were so welcoming and warm. She loved and was so loved by so many. We’ll miss our “Sister”, “Mother”, Ganny, and Friend!
God bless your family!
May the All Sufficent comfort and presence of the Lord sustain the family and all concerned. We will continue praying and standing in the gap with you all.
We are so very sorry for your great loss.
Aunt Winona was the most special lady.
Beautiful inside /out doesn’t even begin to describe her.
I look back over my life and there is not one time I can recall that she wasn’t smiling and making everyone feel special.
We will so miss that laugh, kindness, love and oh the hugs.
I’m so gonna miss sending her a picture of a flower and plant to see what it was. Her special response ‘That my dear sweet niece is a passion fruit flower and they are rare’
That describes my Aunt Winona ‘RARE’
God called a Beautiful Angel home. The sky seemed brighter today.
We love y’all so much.
