You were a good person and friend enjoyed working with you. You will be missed.
Been a long time since I've had the pleasure of being in the company of Rex and his Family. His daughter, Laura and I, were childhood friends. Besties for a while, I guess you might say. We went to East Elementary together. Their family lived just down the street from the school, next to the local neighborhood store, and across the street, from where my Grandpa spent his final years. My Mother and my Memaw both worked at American Greetings as well. Rex and Candice always invited me into their home when I was over playing with Laura, Lana and Jason. As a kid, whenever I looked up at Rex, he always looked like the Biggest Man to me. Like a Gentle Giant, in my youthful memory. I moved away during my 6th Grade Year. Later, as a younger man, then being able to drive and travel on my own, whenever I came back home to visit, there were two stops I always tried to make. The Hopper's and The Brown's (Jim and Darlene). Always considered these both, to be my Extended Family. Candice, a beautiful, sweet woman and Rex, always ever so kind to me. Welcomed me with open arms and their wonderful smiles....Always. Been a long time since I've been back home. Will always cherish those times I got to visit and catch up with my Extended Families. Laura, Lana, Jason and Wesley, so sorry to hear of your Father's passing. I really looked up to him. He was a good man. I miss the times we got to sit around the living room and enjoy each other's company. Seems a Lifetime ago. I wish you all well. Take it Easy.
