of Perryville, AR
June 18, 1949 - February 10, 2024
Thomas Daniel ''Danny'' Kelley, 74, of Perryville went to be with the Lord on February 10, 2024 after a long hard-fought battle with an illness which he never let define him.
Tom was born on June 18, 1949 in Logansport, Indiana to Rosemary Downing Kelley and Thomas Duffy Kelley and always fashioned himself to be an Irishman. He graduated from Catholic High and went on to receive a business degree from UALR. From there he went to work for the United States Postal Service. He held many different positions with the post office with the final being in management for Express Mail from which he retired.
Tom was kind and enjoyed talking and listening to others. He loved hiking, yard work, cooking and reading. He loved going to the movies, parks, fishing, gardening, watching football and the horse races. He had a wonderful smile and loved to tease and kid.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents and his sister and brother-in-law Jack and Nancy Perciful.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carla Boshears Kelley; his son, Thomas Kelley; daughter, Charly (Kelly) Lidzy; sister, Rose (Bill) Cranford and a host of other dear family members and friends.
He is also survived by his grandson, Shelby. Tom was most proud of his newest role as ''Paw'' to Shelby and in their short time together many sweet and precious memories were made.
When able, Tom attended the Perryville United Methodist Church and enjoyed helping with a Sunday School Class at the nursing home before the start of the pandemic.
Tom was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, Paw, son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend. He was dear to so many people.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Perryville United Methodist Church. The family will greet friends at a reception afterwards in the Connection Center.
The family would like to thank the staff at the UAMS Hematology/Oncology Clinic and Infusion A center. They would also like to thank the staffs at UAMS Health-Home Health, Wound Evolution and Gentiva. In addition, thank you to all of those who have given their endless love, support and prayers throughout this time. Memorials may be made to the Perryville United Methodist Church.

When I was growing up I had no friends and Danny stepped forward to be a friend to me. I never forgot that. God bless this great man!
Tom was such a kind man. No matter what was going on, he would stop, and take time to smile for us. Seeing his face light up when Shelby entered the room always warmed my heart as it showed how much he really loved his family. We are all blessed to have met him.
I’m so sorry for your tremendous loss, I am praying for you all.
From early on in my life, the Kelley’s included me in their fun. Tom was a special man, easygoing and generous. He had a way of always making you feel like he had time for you.
I’ll always be reminded of him when I walk the tree trail at Lake Sylvia, take shortcuts through side streets in Little Rock, go to a football game at War Memorial, even when I go to the movie theater. You all hold a precious place in my heart. May God give peace to your beautiful family.
My sincere condolences to you and your family
I regret that I never had the opportunity to meet this awesome man, however, I did meet and worked with his loving wife, Carla. And, judging from the “jewel” she was then, and now, I am sure he had something to contribute to the love she showed to others by the “Jesus he showed in himself.” May the comfort and peace from our Lord Jesus Christ be with this family, both now and in the days ahead.
I worked with Tom at the Express Mail for THE USPS in Little Rock for many years. We became good friends and retired together. Tom is in a better place now, and we will have a big reunion one day. My sympathies go out to all of his family. May God comfort you all during this difficult time.

I got the pleasure of meeting Mr Kelley while he was a patient in Infusion A. Such a dear, sweet man I enjoyed visiting with each time he arrived. We joked, laughed and shared stories about our families. He will be missed.
Tom was so kind and friendly as was his entire family. The Kelly and Boshears families have always treated me and my family like one of their own. Tom was no exception. Thank you Tom. I’m grateful to have been blessed to know you.
Tom was a special person, always kind and a joy to be around. I'll forever cherish our time teaching Sunday School together. We both learned so much from the members of this class sharing their life stories and love of Jesus. I'm so glad to have known Tom and will miss him.
we will keep you in our prayers
You are all in my thoughts and prayers
I have so many fond memories of Kooter! He always made sure to make me feel seen and included. When I started taking my daughters to Perryville to see family he was always making sure they were part of things, too! It also meant so much to Mamaw when he attended Sunday school with her! He just had a special way of making time for everyone! I will really miss his kindnesses and smile! God is welcoming a very special angel!
Carla and family, I am very sorry for your loss. You are in my prayers
I’m so sorry to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with the Kelley family.
