Edward Lee Clemons, 90, of Marianna, Arkansas passed away Friday, February 2, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born June 2, 1933 to Robert Clemons and Ellie Wallace Clemons in Marvell, Arkansas.
Mr. Clemons is survived by one son, Robert Clemons (Sybil) of Cabot, Arkansas; three daughters, Teresa Clemons of Marianna, Arkansas; Anita Hollis of Batesville, Arkansas; Diane Holder (David) of Pleasant Plains, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Amanda Stevens, Blake Holder, April Bledsoe, Jonathan Clemons and Makenzie Clemons, seven great-grandchildren, Dylan Stevens, Kaylea Stevens, Presley Bledsoe, Cash Bledsoe, Carley Bledsoe, Drake Clemons and Bristol Everett and one sister-in-law, Frances Gasaway and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of over sixty-seven years, Louise Clemons; one son, Edward (Eddie) Clemons, Jr.; one granddaughter, Jamie Webb; one brother, James Clemons and two sisters, Minnie Bell Williams and Myrtle Hollingshead and one son-in-law, James Hollis.
He was in the United States Army. He retired from Douglas & Lomason after thirty-three years. He loved traveling and spending time with his family and church family. He hated sitting at home. He was a member of the Marianna Church of God in Marianna.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 5, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in Marianna, Arkansas with Reverend Bob Majors officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. A burial will follow services at Forrest Park Cemetery in Forrest City, Arkansas. I am so very sorry. I had no idea of his passing. We will be out of town tomorrow for an appointment we can not miss at uams. You all are in our prayers.
Sorry I can’t be there but I just ad surgery last week. I remember when we would have the dinner at mom and Dads house in Marvell so much fun. I will be praying for all of you that God may strengthen and comfort each of you and give you happy memories. Love all of you cousins Douglas clemons
