Annitta Rae Nichols

of Mountain View, AR

January 13, 1938 - January 11, 2024

Annitta Rae Nichols, 85, passed away January 11, 2024 at the Stone County Medical Center in Mountain View, Arkansas. Annitta was born January 13, 1938 in Mountain View, Arkansas to the late Alton and Joyce (Risner) Dodson.

Annitta was of the Pentecostal faith. She was the kindest, sweetest person but also had no filter and was plain spoken. Annitta was a no nonsense kind of lady, so much so that she once had a mean rooster that ended up in a pot of dumplings. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting, sewing, collecting costume jewelry and she never turned down a good yard sale. There was a huge spot in her heart for dogs but the love she had for her family far exceeded anything else on this earth. Annitta will be greatly missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Annitta is survived by nephews, Michael Dodson (Bianca) of Bentonville, Lynn Dodson (Sandi) of Mountain View, Jerred Dodson of Mountain View, Scott Dodson (Peggy) of Poughkeepsie; Nieces, Becky Thacker (Todd) of Bryant, Andrea Compton of CaveCity, Trisha Dodson-Ross of Magnet Cove and a special friend, Melissa Smith.

Annitta was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Bob Nichols; her parents, Alton and Joyce (Risner) Dodson; one sister, baby girl, Dodson; four brothers, J.R. Dodson, Oliver ''Jerry'' Dodson, David Dodson and James Dodson and a nephew, Bruce Dodson.

Memorial services for Annitta will be Saturday, January 27, 2024, 2:00 PM at Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas.

Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View is in charge of the arrangements.

Anita Rae was a good friend as far back as I can recall. We went all through school together and I know she dearly loved Bob, her first and only. We were “cut from the same cloth” and had lots in common. Good friends do.
