Jack Thomas Langston passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at Lakeside Nursing Home in Lake City. He was born January 31, 1944 to JC and Ruby Smith Langston in Lake City. Jack graduated from Lake City High School in 1963 and attended Arkansas State University. He was employed at Sears until his retirement in 2003. Jack moved to Missouri and worked part time with the Special School District, helping special needs children. Retiring again in 2018. He believed that was his most rewarding job.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joe Langston; sister, Nan Greenway and the mother of his daughter, Janie Gray.
Those left to cherish his memory, daughter, Terri DAnn Fletcher; granddaughters, Katelyn Hall and Bethany Wellman and one sister, Deborah Palmer.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at 11:00 am at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 W. Washington Ave, Jonesboro with Bro. Don Martin officiating.
The burial will be private.
Pallbearers will be, Randy Ballew, Mike Greenway, Anthony Greenway, Brian Greenway and Heath Sipes.
I worked with Jack when he would sub at the Co-Op Special Education school. He was one of a kind! We always loved having him there and he fit right in. He was so wonderful with those kiddos and they loved him! He was so special to all of us and will be incredibly missed.

I’m so sad to learn of the passing of my cousin, Jack Langston. I know, you were greeted at heaven’s gates with your momma Aunt Ruby, daddy Uncle Cecil, sister Nan, brother Joe and Granny. Prayers for your daughter and her family, your sister, Debbie, the many nieces and nephews left with hole in their hearts.
