of Earle, AR
July 21, 1953 - January 12, 2024
Deborah ''Frances'' Newingham of Earle, Arkansas passed away on January 12th, 2024 in Jonesboro, Arkansas, joining her husband, Jerry Newingham, and son, Tommy Newingham, in a long awaited reunion. She took her last breath loving all those that she knew and being loved by all those that knew her.
Debby was born on July 21st, 1953 in Memphis, Tennessee. She spent most of her life in Earle, Arkansas where she raised her family and had many friends. Debby had an infectious smile and met no stranger. She enjoyed sharing stories and birth dates of all those she cared about to each and every single family member regardless of their connection to them. Her caring heart was too big to contain and would spill over into those that met her.
Frances, as her family called her, enjoyed spending time with her family despite them aggravating her, out of love, to carry on a tradition left behind by her husband. Out of this aggravation, new nicknames arose: Granny Franny, Mrs. Olsen, and Evil Mamaw (her least favorite). Her children and grandchildren were her light in a world of pain and loss. They each contributed to her joy and happiness in their own special way.
Debby is preceded in death by her parents: Wallace and Mamie Leonard, spouse: Jerry Newingham, son: Tommy Newingham, and brother: Jimmy Leonard (Big Daddy Woo Woo). Debby is survived by her son: Jeffrey Newingham (Mary), daughter: Kristy Gibbs (Jody), seven grandchildren: Hailee Simmons (Chaz), Justin Gibbs, Austin Gibbs, Bella Newingham, Leeland Brown, Cole Newingham, and Ashton Brown, one great-granddaughter: Blakelee Simmons, and siblings: Jerry Leonard (Nancy) and Jana Harrison (James).
''May you come to find comfort in and remember
Cardinals appear when angels are near.
So go now, sit outside and drink your tea.
Keep a lookout for the little red bird
It is there, your loved one will be.''
I remember a very soft spoken voice when speaking about her children and family at all times. Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal. Be blessed Kristi and Jeffrey
