of Harrison, AR
December 19, 1940 - January 16, 2024
Allen Clay Kelley, age 83, of Harrison, left his earthly home and was met at Heaven's Gate by Jesus and his loving wife, Linda. Allen was born December 19, 1940, to Clay and Ernestine Kelley in Harrison. He married his sweetheart, Linda, on Aug 30, 1962. They spent sixty years together building their family.
He loved the Lord and anyone who knew him knew that. His day started in the word and prayer and ended the same way. He loved working in his garden where the fruits of his labor were enjoyed by many. In his earlier years, he enjoyed woodworking and building projects for his kids and grandkids. He and Linda loved to play mini-golf. The Captain's Hole 1 at Pirates Cove is actually named, "Al and Lynn's".
Allen was one of the most precious men you would ever meet. He loved to crack jokes with the grandkids but always had Godly counsel for them.
Allen was preceded in death by his loving wife, Linda; his parents, Clay and Ernestine and an infant brother, Darrell Kelley.
Allen leaves behind three children, James (Holly) Kelley of Harrison, Gina (Mike) Massardo of Pocola, Oklahoma, and Beth (Harlan) Miller. Ten grandchildren, Jeff Massardo, Kelly (Adam) Socia, David (Samantha) Kelley, Tyler Rogers, Carissa (Evan) Stalnaker, Katie (Luke) Allen, Kamri Rogers, Brady (Shyanne) Miller, Caleb Miller, and Brittany Kelley; six great-grandchildren with one on the way and his siblings, Wayne Kelley, Rose DeDominico and Bob Kelley.
Visitation was on Wednesday at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
The funeral service was on Thursday at Oregon Flat Baptist Church with Frank Hillis officiating.
The interment was in Maplewood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Brady Miller, Caleb Miller, Tyler Rogers, Evan Stalnaker, Adam Socia, and Shawn Miller.
Honorary pallbearers were Don and Terry Dewitt, Chandra Emmitt, and the staff of Legacy Hospice.

Sorry to hear, prayers and comfort for all of your family.
You all are in our prayers. So sorry for your loss.
What a very special man! So special that I feel like I've known him forever instead of 7 years. His quiet sense of humor, his love for his family and devotion to Linda is what will remember most. He made sure he got Linda to Pirates Cove on Tuesday, for putt putt golf. This is where I had the honor of meeting them and connecting with them. When Don and I would visit them, he was so proud of his garden and shared it with us.
Don and I are unable to be there for the celebration of his life but our hearts will be there...so honored to be honorary pall bearers. My heart is broken but glad "Lynn and Al" are back together having the putt putt golf dates again. We love you Allen.
