Loreda Louise Davis Ellis, age 91, of Clinton, Arkansas passed away peacefully at home on January 15, 2024. Loreda was born December 6, 1932 to the late Brannon and Nancy Stark Davis.
Loreda is preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, D. Patrick Ellis and her son, George Eric Ellis.
Loreda will lovingly be remembered by her siblings, Lovell Davis and Geneva Jauch; children, John 'Chip' Ellis, Phillip Ellis and Charity (Michael) Vermeulen; grandchildren, John (Jill) Ellis, Keely (Tyler) Kirkendoll, Fiona, Luke and Maggie Vermeulen, Morgan (Dillon) Wilson, Jesse (Bailie) Alvarado, Cally (Lucas) Krisell and eight great grandchildren.
Loreda made Clinton her home for over 60 years, where she was a dedicated member of Clinton Church of Christ. She was passionate in pursuing a greater good, from raising money for the American Cancer Society to local causes like Pennies from Heaven and Choctaw Special School, of which she was a founding board member. She was a devout Christian who loved spending time with her family, writing poetry and collecting plates. Though the family will grieve her loss, we find comfort in knowing she is at peace with her Lord and her loved ones that have gone before.
Visitation will be Friday, January 19, 2024 at 1pm at Clinton Church of Christ with services to follow at 2pm. Graveside will be at Clinton Cemetery.

Chip, Phillip and all of Ms. Loreda's loving family. I am saddened to hear of your loss. I visited the Ellis home in Clinton on several occasions with Loreda's late husband, Pat. She was such a gracious lady and always welcomed me into her home where she was always happy to show off her grand collection of plates and other nic nacs. She was the heart of the Ellis home and family and I know she will be greatly missed. May you find peace in knowing she is finally "home" with Pat, Eric and others who went on before her. I am honored to have known her, Pat and their children during my time in the Greers Ferry Lake area.

Ms. Ellis was one in a million! She was such a lovely lady. I got to know her through my beautiful sister in law Charity Vermeulen. I enjoyed watching her light up around her grand children. She will be missed. Sending you all love!

I am so sorry for your loss and will be praying for God's peace and comfort during this time. I will miss seeing Ms Ellis outside her home and she always had a smile and a wave.
I would like to express my sincere condolences to all of Mrs. Ellis’s family. I knew her through two very special young ladies named Charity and Keely while teaching in Clinton. Prayers for God’s comfort for them and all of her family.
Mrs. Ellis and I worked together at one time and I got to know how sweet and wonderful she was. I was best friends with Eric and I will always miss them. The whole Ellis family will always be close to my heart.
