Mrs. Bessie Henderson, 84, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away Sunday, January 7, 2024 in Mountain Home. She was born on August 30, 1939 in Buffalo City, Arkansas to Marshall and Ivon (Duggins) Knight. She married T.J. Henderson on December 31, 1959. She was a member of the Mountain Home Church of Christ, a 20-year para-teacher retiree of the Mountain Home School District and a homemaker. She enjoyed collecting a variety of things, making jellies, embroidering and was well known for her homestyle cooking. She loved her grandchildren and family.
Bessie is survived by 2 sons, Wesley Henderson (Lesa) and Alan Henderson (Tina); 1 daughter, Julia Gist (Mike); 6 grandchildren, Emma Barnett (Zach), Claire Bradberry (Hayden), Will Henderson (Sidney) and Gabe (fiancé, Olivia), Ben, and Nathan Henderson; 2 great-grandchildren, Opal Henderson and Elle Barnett; 1 brother, Jimmie Knight (Carol Sue); 1 sister, Nancy Crawford (Joey); 3 sisters-in-law, Marvine Hallman (Jerry), Dorothy Henderson and Judy Knight and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 3 sisters, 4 brothers and many other dearly loved family members.
A visitation will be held between 6-8:00pm on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Roller Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at Roller Funeral Home with interment to follow at Baxter Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the care of Roller Funeral Home.

I did not know until this week that Bessie had passed. My prayers are with the family.
Bessie was a joy to work with. She had a sweet smile, but the students knew she was serious about them learning.
She loved the Lord and her family, and she will be missed.
